DESCRIPTION:
"Shorai ~Matsu-no-oto~" is a restaurant and a bar renovated from an 80-year-old traditional Japanese house. There are several private rooms in addition to the tatami room, and there is also a bar on the first floor. They offer local Nara hot pot dishes (nabe) such as "Asuka nabe" (chicken and milk based hot pot which is a local dish in Nara) and "Botan nabe" (boar meat hot pot) for a limited time in winter.
There is a large 300-year-old pine tree in the garden which is illuminated at night.
MENU DETAILS:
We had kakigori shaved ice with strawberry syrup and
warabi mochi (a traditional dessert made from bracken starch)
steamed bun with bean paste. At Nakanishi Yosaburo you can also enjoy a Japanese style afternoon tea set, but instead of cakes and scones, you are treated Japanese sweets. You can also get some champagne with it.
