Shonzui is an establishment that takes its kakigori very seriously. The shop is of a sleek, minimalist design and at the rear is a bar which opens in the evening and specializes in local Japanese sake. The owner, who is a tea ceremony enthusiast, named the shop after their favorite type of porcelain tea ware, the "Shonzui" blue-and-white porcelain. Kakigori served on these antique plates adds a touch of elegance to the sleek surroundings.
MENU DETAILS:
The owner' s history in the food industry comes to the fore in her ability to mix the ideal ingredients to create kakigori that are as unique as they are delicious. If you're really hungry, check out their "Kids-lunch for Grownups" hybrid lunch set. This plate offers fried shrimp, hamburger steak, and omelet rice - favorites among Japanese children and creatively reimagined for adults.
